Summer Wiffle!

Details
Anybody up for a little wiffle ball? Let me know if you can join in
behind Webster Hill Elementary school at 6:00 pm for our first pick up game(s). I have two sets of 4 bases and since we're potentiall a large group (up to 25) I thought we could have teams of 5-6 and break into two games if enough sign up. I only have two wiffle bats, but plenty of balls so if you have a wiffle bat (please make it the official yellow one) feel free to bring it. Wiffle ball doesn't require a softball sized field cuz the ball doesn't go far even if you hit it hard (maybe a quarter the distance of a hardball). In wiffle ball you don't need a baseball glove; bare hands are used. Not to worry!
Here's the basics:
The Game
- Five innings equals a complete game.
- Ten-run “mercy rule” applies after three complete innings.
- Two outs allowed per inning for each team.
- Five balls equal a walk and two strikes count as an out. ...
- In extra innings, both teams will start the inning with the bases loaded.
- Bases are about 60-70 feet apart and pitchers rubber 40 feet. Foul lines are slightly less than the usual 90 degrees (it's a narrower field).
- No outfielders
There are some other rules, but I'll let you know when you come.
Bring a water bottle with a cold drink in case it's hot! Look forward to seeing you there!
John
