Sharpenhoe Clappers to Barton Hills circular walk

Details
This is another brand new walk that Don and I have put together, due to being asked for something nearer to the North of Hertfordshire.
We leave at 10:30am prompt from the Barton-le-Clay Village Hall car park MK45 4JY. We have permission to park in their car park. The group will not be waiting for anyone who is not on time ๐
From there we head West to cross the A6 and take little tracks to pass by Brook End Green Farm ๐ ๐ ๐ then on to Sharpenhoe. We tackle a very steep climb (luckily with steps) to the top of the Clappers. The views are definitely worth the effort. We then zig zag across tracks around the village of Streatley. At this point weโll take a well earned break in the very accomodating pub there ๐นโ๏ธ
After crossing the A6 again we pick up the Chiltern Way before heading North to skirt around the top of Barton Hills Nature Reserve ๐ฆ These are some of the best views we have seen to date ๐ฒ Once admired, weโll make our way back to Barton. For those that want to, weโll end up at the village pub ๐ฅ
Approximately 8 miles. This walk should take around 3-3.5hrs.
NB: Cost is ยฃ2 due to increased Meet Up subscription. Please pay on the day or preferably beforehand via this link: https://www.paypal.me/aac007?locale.x=en_GB Please choose friends & family option only
If you enjoy the event we encourage participants to add a message and/or pictures after. Other members can and do read them, which gives them an idea of future events ๐ธ ๐๐ป
If you are unable to attend for any reason please ensure you change your RSVP to not going. Not doing this results in holding up everybody else, which is unfair on all. My contact number on the day is 07376 796266
NB: This event is not led by a qualified leader, or covered by insurance. Please wear suitable footwear ๐ฅพ and clothing. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety (including fluids, weather protection and a snack).
