Bank Holiday Monday Bluebells Walk 🥀
Details
Join us on our fantastic Annual walk that welcomes a sea of beautiful bluebells, at the end of a long wooded trail 🌲
We leave at 10.30 prompt from the Church Road free car park. HP4 1NZ. This is the very top car park next to the church Pls car share if poss.
Church Road is opposite the white gates to Ashridge College. Please ensure you are ready to leave 10 mins before the departure time 🚙
To start we mooch around the church and down the side field to cross another one and pass the pub. Then down a narrow lane onto an enclosed pathway which we now cross and skirt the golf course. We cross the main road and are instantly surrounded by beautiful woodland 🌳 all the way to a stunning bluebells circular walk we found (we have deliberately avoided the magnificent manufactured Dockey Wood as the (some say) greedy National Trust are charging £3.50 per person to walk through it!), although we will now be skirting that too, so you’ll still see it from the other side of the fence 🥀
We then saunter back and pass through open fields & approximately 💯 kissing gates 😁 to the Old Deer Leap swimming pool 🏊♂️ (now a huge house!!). We’ll then follow the road and finally skirt round the back to the Commonwealth memorial Church ⛪️
Those that want to can then sit in the historic Bridgewater Arms pub garden with a lemonade🪴🍺☕️🍟
Roughy 2.5-3 hours and exactly 6.5 miles.
