Great Gaddesden to Jockey End Circular Walk

Apart from an initial relatively short climb, this is a very easy going, pleasant walk. Good for beginners as well.

We leave @ 10:30am prompt from the top car park at Hemel Hempstead Garden Centre in Great Gaddesden. HP1 3BY Please ensure you are ready to leave 10 mins before the departure time 🚙

To set off we follow the start of the river Gade then across and up a fairly steep hill towards Gaddesden Place 🏛 We traipse across fields, wooded paths, down country lanes and open fields to finally arrive at Hoo woods with magnificent lofted views 🌳 We’ll then stroll down to a SSSI area (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and finally back to complete an approximate 5.5 mile route. Will be roughly 2.5 hours. Coffee ☕️ and cake 🍰 (or sausage rolls!) at the end.
