Ivinghoe Beacon circular walk

Don, Frixos & myself recce’d this great new walk.

We leave @ 10:30am prompt from the free Ivinghoe Beacon National Trust car park, off the B489. Postcode is LU6 2EF. Please ensure you are ready to leave 10 mins before the departure time 🚙

From the car park we head towards the Beacon to pick up the Ridgeway. After climbing Steps Hill and skirting around Incombe Hole the route leaves the Ridgeway and heads towards Clipper Down and towards Duncombe Farm 🐄🐔🐖 where a track heads North East and crosses Duncombe Terrace towards Hurst Farm 🐓

We then follow The Icknield way (which is actually an ancient trackway often called the "oldest road in Britain," stretching approximately 110 miles from Ivinghoe Beacon in to Knettishall Heath in Suffolk) this then drops down to the Coombe before we leave it and climb to the top of Ivinghoe Beacon via Gallows Hill and back to the car park.
