What we’re about
This group will watch, learn about and discuss classic films from a rich catalog available. Meetups to view films at River Oaks Theatre, Alamo Drafthouse or any other venue where a classic is played. Occaisional meetings at various libraries will be scheduled. <br>
Who should join?
Film enthusiasts-The group agreed early on that ANY film with repeat watchability and merit can be a classic. Anyone already a fan of classic film or new comers are invited to join. <br>
Why?
Primarily to experience film with others and socialize. As an elder person, I feel a responsibility to pass on accumulated knowledge to those interested. Film as an art form is a powerful medium to forward ideas, present a view of life past or present and provide an escape from everyday routine. It's a global form of entertainment that crosses all barriers.
