Cookbook Club Gathering

For our May gathering we will be enjoying nice weather (hopefully) and gathering on the patio. This will be more of a “mix and mingle” and not a sit down meal so plan your Jet Tila dish accordingly.
Jet Tila as our chef for this quarter (April/May/June)! Jet Tila is a renowned Thai-American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and culinary anthropologist known for bringing Southeast Asian cuisine to the national spotlight (though his recipes cover much more than just Southeast Asian cuisine). He is a frequent Food Network judge and competitor with several cookbooks plus 5 seasons of his cooking show "Ready, Jet, Cook" under his belt.
For those new to our group we meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month and everyone brings a prepared dish based on a recipe from the chef we are “discovering.” Bring any type of dish you’d like to try. We are a judgment free zone so don't worry if the dish you choose isn't a perfect success!
We explore the recipes from a cookbook author/famous chef for 3 months and then switch It up to someone or something new.
Don't forget to bring a container for "leftovers."
All levels welcome - we have beginning cooks and seasoned chefs and always great food!
Drinks are BYOB. Soda, beer, wine, or even a drink recipe from our chef of the month is fine. Just don’t over indulge and drive.
Some housekeeping:
- Please bring $3 to help us cover the cost of the meetup and supplies - cash or venmo. (DO NOT pay when you RSVP).
- We sometimes have a waitlist so if you RSVP yes and are a no-show 2x we will sadly have to remove you from the group.
- Be sure to post what you are bringing in the group chat to help avoid duplicates.
