Paul's Mayfield and Tidebrook Circular Walk

Details

Moderate 8.4 miles / 13.5 km

The walk will take us past Rushers Cross, down towards Tidebrook and through a small section of Wadhurst Park (where there are often large deer) and back via Hawksden Park Wood. On a clear day there should be some fine views. There are some moderate hills and it'll be muddy in places.

Because of the deer (and a couple of short road sections), this is not suitable for dogs.

I'm happy to book lunch at the Rose and Crown. I expect they'll be busy so please let me know at least a week in advance if you want to eat. Alternatively, the Middle House in Mayfield is good to eat.

Please note that there is a £2 voluntary contribution for non-Rambler members towards meetup fees.

Paid up members of the Ramblers are welcome on any of our walks, but we would encourage you to RSVP. This is to give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also to keep the numbers manageable.

If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Rambler member, please let the walk leader know you are coming. On the day of the walk only, the group leader can be contacted on 07492 685617 - voice calls only (no texts).
