Paul Ls Tunbridge Wells evening walk

A 4.8 mile evening walk meeting by Tunbridge Wells station then heading across the common to Rusthall, passing a number of the town’s iconic rock formations and back via Happy Valley and The Pantiles. We will finish at the Compasses pub for a sociable drink (about 5 minutes walk from the station) where there will hopefully be a live band. It’s a fairly easy walk with a couple of short but steep descents and climbs (in particular at Happy Valley).
The meeting place is outside the exit from The Range, opposite the station. There are paid car parks above The Range (entrance via Vale Avenue), or The Great Hall (behind Sainsburys local on Mount Pleasant Road). Some free parking on the common or residential roads a few minutes walk away, or let the train take the strain.

NB: There is a £2 payment required for non-Ramblers Assoc. members to help cover our Meetup costs. Please help the walk leader by bringing the exact change.

Ramblers members are welcome on any of our walks, but we would still encourage you to RSVP on Meetup. This will give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Ramblers member, you can attend - just let the walk leader know you are coming by adding a comment 'Coming as a Rambler'.
