Through the Keyhole Part 2 - Knockholt Circular 7.5 miles and Optional Gardens

A circular walk starting from Knockholt around the edge of the Chevening estate on the morning of the Chevening Open Gardens. There is an early look through the 'Knockholt Keyhole' before heading along the North Down Way and then down and around the Chevening estate. There will be a mid morning stop at the Eat N Mess cafe before returning up the hill to Knockholt.

The Chevening estate holds an Open Gardens afternoon once a year and the walk will end around 1.30pm to allow time for anyone wanting to go to arrive at the opening time of 2pm. This is a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of the official residence of the Foreign Secretary and enjoy the formal gardens, lake and maze. Tickets have to be booked in advance and are £12 each.

NB: There is a £2 payment required for non-Ramblers Assoc. members to help cover our Meetup costs. Please help the walk leader by bringing the exact change.Ramblers members are welcome on any of our walks, but we would still encourage you to RSVP on Meetup. This will give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Ramblers member, you can attend - just let the walk leader know you are coming by adding a comment 'Coming as a Rambler'.
