Roger's Ancient and modern thoroughfare along the Medway Valley (18 miles) cir

This is a lovely 18 mile walk starting at Court farm, halling (plenty of free parking and a butchers on site) walking along the River Medway to Historic Aylesford where Hengest and Horsa fought the battle of Aylesford in 455 with a visit to Aylesford Priory (circa 1242) for a lunch stop (30 minutes), from there we continue to negotiate the Medway Valley before ascending onto the North Downs Way back towards the Medway towns. Over the Medway Bridge to Cuxton where we continue along the North Downs Way back to the start point at Court farm Halling. Moot brewery is based here and the food of the day is smashed American burgers, highly recommended.

Please make use of toilets at Court farm at the beginning and end of the walk and the Friars or Court Farm.

As you may expect this is a hilly walk with a total of 2037ft ascent across the walk. However there are no styles and it is predominantly on good hard surface. DOGS NOT ALLOWED ON THIS WALK BECAUSE OF LENGTH AND TIME OF YEAR.
