Peter D - Knole Park & Ightham Mote walk - Boxing day

Moderate 10.3 miles/ 16.4km, Ascent: 1333ft/406.3m circular

Walk route as follows Vine Cricket ground, Hole in the wall entrance into Knole park, Knole House, then Greensand way all the way to Ightham Mote via One Tree Hill. We will have a short stop at One Tree Hill (3.5 miles) & also a lunch stop at Ightham Mote (5.5 miles). The Cafe will be open on the day here.

Walk route back will be via Stone Street & Godden Green where there will be a pub stop for drinks only (8.2 miles). In the event that the pub is busy on the day of this walk we will continue the walk. Walk goes back into Knole park & back via Knole House then out of Knole Park via the main entrance. Walk then continues along the high street & back to the start point of this walk.

Option of another drink stop in Sevenoaks town at the end of the walk.

Subject to walk leaders approval we do allow well behaved dogs under full control of their owner. If you wish to bring your dog on the walk, please check with the walk leader before arriving for the walk.

NB: There is a £2 payment required for non-Ramblers Assoc. members to help cover our Meetup costs. Please help the walk leader by bringing the exact change.
Ramblers members are welcome on any of our walks, but we would still encourage you to RSVP on Meetup. This will give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Ramblers member, you can attend - just let the walk leader know you are coming by adding a comment 'Coming as a Rambler'.
