Moderate 12.7miles/ 20.4km, Ascent - 849ft/ 258.8m, linear

A linear walk starting from Marden Railway station. At least 85% of the walk is countryside walking, most of the urban walking is at the Paddock Wood end of the walk. Please note start time & travel details for this walk.
Walk goes to Small's Farm (3 miles) then onto Hazel Street (about 5.5 miles), then changes direction & goes through the N.T. grounds of Sprivers (6 miles) where we can stop for a picnic lunch. Walk will follow part of the High Weald Landscape Trail on this section of the walk.
After lunch we walk for a couple of miles then a pub stop for drinks only (8.5 miles). Then a walk through Brenchley village (9.25 miles). Walk will finish at Paddock Wood railway station.
Optional pub stop (12.4 miles) at the end of the walk. (Sports bar type pub).
There will be lots of mud on this walk, especially if lots of rain has fallen a few days before this walk will be due to take place. Several short pieces of road walking mostly on quiet country lanes.
In the event of a large turnout for this walk, the start & finish times may be slightly later than the original published times.

Subject to walk leaders approval we do allow well behaved dogs under full control of their owner. If you wish to bring your dog on the walk, please check with the walk leader before arriving for the walk.

NB: There is a £2 payment required for non-Ramblers Assoc. members to help cover our Meetup costs. Please help the walk leader by bringing the exact change. Ramblers members are welcome on any of our walks, but we would still encourage you to RSVP on Meetup. This will give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Ramblers member, you can attend - just let the walk leader know you are coming by adding a comment 'Coming as a Rambler'. You will find the start location via our website
