Please note we will be doing a special outing to the Monterey Park Lunar New Year festival instead of our usual conversation format at the Culver Steps! If you can no longer attend due to this change, we hope you'll be able to join the next virtual (Feb 9th) or in-person meet.

Come celebrate the year of the horse! In addition to performances, food and fun, there will be plenty of opportunities to read and learn Chinese in a real world setting. We might also do a Mandarin challenge or bingo card for the event.

We'll plan to meet in Barnes Park, 350 S. McPherrin Ave., Monterey Park, CA 91754 (No shuttle, free parking only).

Based on an idea from our last meetup, we're piloting virtual pop-up meetings to supplement our in-person meetings! We hope this will provide more opportunity for language practice and allow more people to participate regardless of their location. Depending on the size of the group we get, we might try breakout rooms with ideally a more experienced speaker in each room.
