2026 Quiet Adventures Symposium
Details
One of my favorite events of the winter! Lots of great adventure presentations and exhibitors.
The Quiet Adventures Symposium is an annual gathering in its 31st year celebrating nonmotorized outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship in Michigan. This live event provides a winter venue for outdoor adventurers to connect with new friends and old ones, as the explorations continue. Our exhibitors include nonprofit advocacy organizations from the greater Lansing Area as well as throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes Region. Friends of the Shiawassee River, Friends of the North Country Trail, Friends of the Red Cedar River, and many more. Private sector participation includes businesses selling kayaks, canoes, boats, paddles, bikes, bike gear, thematic jewelry, and more. Public agencies including the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Michigan State University departments join us with informational materials and educational exhibits. Pick an activity, a river, a trail, or a park, and we will have someone who can tell you more. Special thanks to the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, ANR Week. A Youth Area will have activities for the younger set! Also special thanks to the sponsors such as Williams Subaru, supporters for many years. Explore and find new adventures and maybe some new adventure companions while enjoying the music!
