Grand Rapids Camera Club December Program
December 17, 2025 at 7:15 p.m.
“Genesis to Revelation in 30 Minutes:
Architectural & Biblical sites in Israel and Turkey”
Presented by Bill Doebler

This program is a combination of photographs taken during several trips to Biblical sites in Israel, Greece and Turkey over several years. The program begins with photographs of Bedouin people in Israel who live very much like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob lived thousands of years ago. Several sites in Israel are shown along with pertinent Biblical references. Greek Biblical sites in Athens, Corinth and Patmos are also presented. All of the ruins of the seven churches of Revelation are in present day Turkey.

Bill Doebler is a long time resident of Holland, MI. He purchased his first SLR camera, a Nikon FTN, in 1970 while in Japan. He was active in the Holland Color Camera Club as well as SWMCCC, earning a number of awards over the years. He currently enjoys taking underwater photographs while snorkeling and capturing exciting moments of 23 grandchildren.

Following our program we will have a break with our annual Appetizer/Dessert Holiday Potluck. Please bring a item for the holiday buffet table. We will conclude the meeting by showing the December Competition images. December prints will also be on display!
