Trentham Gardens Spring Bulb festival, Staffordshire
Details
Join us for a day out at Trentham Gardens (note there is an entrance fee). Over the past few years a million bulbs have been planted for the annual Spring bulbs festival creating an uplifting, immersive colourful experience, potentially also including daffodils and or bluebells. The walk will start with a 2 mile loop around the lake (easy walking suitable for trainers) and some time exploring the Italian Gardens along which 20,000 tulips were planted last year so we hope to see vibrant colour. After lunch (bring a packed lunch or enjoy the cafe) there is an option of a further 4 mile walk to a monument with great views and then through Kingswood. (The 4 mile loop is moderate graded with a steep ascent and requires walking boots). Alternatively why not indulge in some disc golf (included in the entrance ticket), take a boat trip on the lake (small extra charge), go on the narrow railway (small extra charge), shop in the shopping village which is well stocked with outdoor shops or even go on the big wheel!
Additional Notes:
The walk is a choice of 2 or 6 miles.
