Details

This circular walk from Marston Green station takes you through two country parks (Sheldon and Elmdon), past the airport runway, through woodland, open parkland and lakes. The walk is flat. Elmdon Park covers the grounds of the former Elmdon Hall which encompasses the lake, St Nicolas Church and the old walled garden which is now a local nature reserve.

Additional notes
The walk starts at Marston Green Train Station.
You can catch the 0950 from Birmingham New Street that arrives at 10.04
Due to the short length of this walk we will not stop for lunch, but there will be stops for snacks / drinks.

Who runs this group?
We are known as West Midlands Walking Group (WMWG), and are a Ramblers Association group, ran by volunteers. As well as walks almost every weekend, we regularly have social events and trips away multiple times per year. You can find more information on our website: https://www.wmwg.org.uk/

You are allowed to attend 3 walks before you need to become a member of The Ramblers (around £35~ a year).
