The Malvern Hills (Colwall to Great Malvern)

Details
7 miles, moderate grade
Come and join us for a leisurely to moderate hiking adventure on the beautiful Malvern Hills. My vision was to create a Malvern Hills walk that would be accessible to more people, with a bit of challenge but also some more laid back sections. This is a linear walk starting from Colwall station. We will enjoy a countryside stroll to the hills from the station. When we reach the hills there will be an initial steep climb up. Once on the ridge we will take a more leisurely route around the peaks including the aptly named Perseverance Hill. Eventually we will ascend The Beacon and then admire the stunning views. We'll descend to the lovely town of Great Malvern via St Anne's Well. In Great Malvern there are lots of options for tea and cake or the pub. Folk can then get the train back to Birmingham from Great Malvern station, which is just a few minutes walk from the town. For any drivers you would need to park in Colwall at the start then get the train back to Colwall to pick up your car.
Please see the group information section or wmwg.org.uk for general background on walking with us and what to wear/bring to walks etc
Note we are a Ramblers group and not all of our walk leaders are on Meet Up - so they may not reply to messages, especially very shortly before the walk starts. The best way to contact the walk leader is via [susie_p@wmwg.org.uk](http://jo_h@wmwg.org.uk/)
