Saturday, 9th May
Feel the holiday vibe in Stratford Upon Avon and take a stroll down the river with me from the famous Gower Memorial opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Highlights of this beautiful hike include rolling wide open fields, horse pastures, the pretty villages of Clifford Chambers and Preston on Stour and wonderful views of Alscot Park House.

Additional Notes:
This is a mainly flat walk and we will go at a leisurely pace. We'll take a rest when we get to Clifford Chambers and have our lunch in Preston on Stour. We can look forward to ice cream afterwards at Hoorays (the best ice cream parlour I've been to). There are toilets at the train station if you are coming by train or toilets at the leisure centre if you are parking there.

Circular Walk
Start time 10:30am
Estimated finish time 4:30pm

This is a large bronze memorial dedicated to William Shakespeare and it is situated opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre just before you reach the river coming from the town centre. You can get the 8.39 am train from Birmingham Moor Street arriving at 9.34 am or if driving one option is to park at the Leisure Centre in the long stay car park, which costs around £8 for the day.
