Make-Up Mayhem!

We have a super studio with professional lighting and plenty of triggers for your cameras, so you will be shooting most of the time. There will be a good range of models and experienced HMUAs providing some creative and colourful looks for our cameras, with the emphasis on the make-up of course!

If the venue is new to you there is a treat in store! We will be able to shoot in a large studio space, but also beyond into the rest of the building. Whilst a few business owners may be around generally we have pretty much the run of the huge 1930s building to ourselves, with a wide range of atmospheric corners, original caged lifts and stairwells (A few images below).

So we have an exciting range of looks again for us to expand our repertoire and learn to capture new looks. I will be updating both here and our Facebook page as the creative looks are developed for you!

The shoot itself commences at 12:00pm, which gives the HMUAs time to construct the detailed beauty looks. They are super keen to provide some creative looks for our models. More info on the Facebook group page soon!

Make-up starts at 930am on site. The shoot start time is at 12pm to allow set up and MAKE UP time! Doors open at 11:30am. If you wish to come along early and get some MU shots as the looks develop that is perfectly fine. Both Sara and I will be providing refreshments as usual.

This is an 'old-school' studio Meetup shoot with tea, coffee, crisps, biscuits and jaffa cakes included! (N.B. If you want more refreshments there are some shops 10 minutes away or bring something with you.)

We are delighted to bring back UCB MUAs and Hair Stylists to our creative team! We have models already booked in, and will have a range of looks for you! We have commenced a Mood Board (of which the above image is an example). Please feel free to add to it (link below).
As usual we will be working hard to get you another very good shooting ratio (Last time was again around 1:1, and well below our target published ratio of 1:5), which works well and we expect as normal all friendly participants to take a fair turn in rotation. With 3 hours you will simply be spoilt for photo choices!

We are able to provide studio lighting with light modifiers in the studio space with triggers for your camera hotshoe. In the rest of the building there is no mains power. Feel free to bring portable lights and flash and you can also use the ambient light and our 2 large reflectors. Weather permitting outside there are some cool New York style fire escapes and gritty urban backdrops!

We are a very friendly group as you will see from previous feedback and all levels of photography experience are welcomed, and we regularly learn from each other in style and technique.
The fee for the session (including Paypal fee of £1-90) is £46-90, which is terrific value! Previous images have won awards online, won competitions and been published in UK magazines and internationally.
We DO recommend bringing a flashgun for fill in flash and to add to your lighting options. Please note that as always you are responsible for your own kit so do be careful where you leave it.
We are using Lencarta studio pro strobes & trigger/receivers, powered flash, light modifiers, light meter, colour passport, backdrops

Please note that as always you are responsible for your own kit so do be careful where you leave it. N.B. Changes to the line-up may have to be made due to circumstances beyond our control, but we always work hard to provide lots for your lens!
