About us
Seattle Board Games supports a vibrant and inclusive community of board game enthusiasts in the Seattle metro area. Our events and gatherings offer opportunities to have fun, make friends, and deepen our appreciation for the art, design, and strategy of board games. We seek to make games more accessible by removing barriers to enjoying and learning from them.
We host all types of boardgames, from lighter games such as Settlers of Catan and Lords of Waterdeep to heavier Euros like Brass Birmingham, Dune Imperium, and others. We also play thematic games such as Battlestar Galactica, social deduction games like Blood on the Clocktower, Magic the Gathering, card games, and party games. If it's on BoardGameGeek's list of over 25,000 games, we might be playing it!
We have a Discord! Connect with hundreds of other local board game fans, set up game sessions, play online, and be the first to know about some events before they're announced on Meetup! This link will lead you there!
Anyone can become an event organizer and host events - either specific games or open gaming sessions. If you are interested, please contact the primary organizer.
We are member and organizer driven, and welcome suggestions for improvements and new directions.

Let’s Play Bebop!!
Capitol Hill, 1635 11th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122, Seattle, WA, USThe jazz festival is underway! All the bands are set up on their stages and ready to perform. The endless line of fans cannot wait to get in. As a booking agent, it is your job to secure the best seats for your customers by ensuring they are listening to bands that feature their favorite instruments — and it wouldn't hurt if you seat them next to friends and family!
BeBop uses Area Majority, Chaining, Dice Rolling, Hand Management, Network Building, Once-Per-Game Abilities, & Tile Placement. The player who most cleverly outmaneuvers the others on the shared board will get the best rating for their booking agency and thus the most points.
- Reserve seats with your tiles and book them using fan dice in this dual-layered tile placement strategy game
- Earn high ratings by booking matching fans near each other and next to their preferred jazz performers
- Compete to claim feature tokens and build the largest families of dice while triggering stage performances at the right times c
- Draft fan dice from the ticket queue and persuade fans to attend gigs that maximize your ratings
- Featuring multiple unique festival boards with variable set-ups
New players are welcome, and the host is happy to teach if you haven't played before.

Viticulture Through the Ages Bonus @ The Missing Piece
The Missing Piece, 4707 California Ave, Seattle, WA, USWe'll play the Tuscany board "side B" Structure Cards and player mats. We can decide which Visitor cards to use during setup (Tuscany, Rhine, Bordeaux).
For a refresher on Viticulture, the best instructional video is probably Rodney Smith's Tuscany Essential Edition (Viticulture Expansion) - How To Play. Monique and Naveen are also very good and do a playthrough.
This is a bonus game following the four-part Sunday series we recently concluded, exploring the evolution of one of the most beloved modern strategy games: Viticulture. Across four weeks, we experienced how the design grew from a strong worker-placement euro into a richly layered vineyard simulation with new strategic paths, tighter decision spaces, and fresh regional character.

Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats (actions). These habitats focus on several key aspects of growth:
- Gain food tokens via custom dice in a birdfeeder dice tower
- Lay eggs using egg miniatures in a variety of colors
- Draw from hundreds of unique bird cards and play them
The winner is the player with the most points after 4 rounds.
New and experienced players welcome. Plenty of free parking and nearby places to grab a bite to eat before or after. I will be in Meeting Room #1.
