Art Exhibition Visit -- Hokusai & Ukiyo-e: The Floating World

Details
Please plan on joining your book club buddies at a special local art exhibition "Hokusai & Ukiyo-e: The Floating World" that will feature over 50 original works by renowned artists from the Japanese Edo Period, along with historical exhibits and other educational and interactive installations throughout the Cleve Carney Museum of Art at the College of DuPage. Please visit the exhibition's web site for more details at https://www.theccma.org/hokusai
Just as Van Gogh is known as one of the premier artists of the post-impressionist period, Hokusai is known as one of the premier painters and printmaker artists of the Japanese Ukiyo-e or Floating World (which refers to the pleasure-seeking culture of urban life, particularly in present-day Tokyo) during the Edo period (1603-1868).
We plan to meet at 6:00 at the Museum to view the exhibit, and, true to our nature, afterwards, at 7:30, enjoy some wine, snacks and conversation at Fire + Wine in Glen Ellyn (about 3 miles north of the museum). Please take a look, and to help us have the correct count for attendees, RSVP at the separate listing for this related dining event.
The Cleve Carney Museum is located across from the Belushi Performance Hall in the McAninch Arts Center ("The MAC") at the main College of Dupage campus. The most convenient parking lot is Fawell Parking Lot A in front of the MAC.
