Please join your book club friends at Roberto's Ristorante in Elmhurst to discuss the critically acclaimed book The City and Its Uncertain Walls in which the author, Haruki Murakami, presents a love story, a quest, and an ode to books and the libraries that house them. Murakami is known for blending realistic settings with surreal, dreamlike, or magical elements.
Our group has enjoyed discussing books written by authors whose first language is not English, as we often find fresh cultural insights and literary styles when they write about familiar experiences.
