Moonglow by Michael Chabon
Details
Please join your book club friends at Roberto's Ristorante in Elmhurst to discuss the poignant book Moonglow by Michael Chabon.
This novel is framed as a fictionalized memoir of the author's dying grandfather, who, under the influence of painkillers, reveals his colorful, adventurous, and often tragic life in the 20th century. The story blends real historical events and people, with invented narratives, exploring themes of love, suffering, morality, family, and the complex legacy of the Holocaust and post-war America.
Chabon was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for his superb novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay.
