Westchester Civic Theatre’s 8x10 plays are fast becoming an annual favorite for the West Suburban Theatre Meetup! Their productions promise something especially fun: a night of original theatre where both actors and playwrights are volunteers. The venue is roomy with comfortable seating, making it the perfect place to enjoy an evening of short, inventive works.

Here’s the challenge behind the curtain: each play must run just 10 minutes, and every script is required to open with a character declaring, “This is what happened.” From that single line, playwrights craft a complete story—introducing characters, building tension, and even solving the mystery of who killed the director, and why.

Finding the Auditorium.
Enter the door from the Heritage Park parking lot. To the left of the reception area is the elevator to the second floor. Beyond the elevator are two sets of stairs that drop you at opposite sides of the auditorium.
The theatre is fully accessible.

I will be standing between the stage and the seating when you arrive holding up the West Suburban Theatre Meetup sign up placard. I will also have your home-made name tag. Even if you choose not to wear it, it is how I keep attendance. (I've got a great memory. It's just short.)
