DRACULA: A Comedy of Terrors
Details
Summary:
A farce for the holidays and a venue closer to our members to the east.
Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud stage farce that reimagines Bram Stoker's gothic horror classic as a campy and irreverent comedy. With a cast of just five actors playing dozens of different characters through lightning-fast costume changes, the play blends Victorian horror, physical slapstick, and pop culture references for a wild and entertaining ride.
The story follows meek English real estate agent Jonathan Harker on his journey to the treacherous mountains of Transylvania to meet the mysterious Count Dracula. When the Count arrives in England and sets his sights on Jonathan's brilliant fiancée Lucy Westfeldt, she and the famed female vampire hunter Jean Van Helsing must race to stop him.

- * The Theatre of Western Springs Banner confused me at first. The logo serves both the "Theatre of" and the "Children's Theatre of" Western Springs. Dracula is "Threatre of Western Springs", not the Children's.
