Shakespeare’s got competition. It’s 1595—and musicals are the next big thing.
Set in Renaissance England, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, they set out to write the world’s very first musical. Their journey is filled with comedic mishaps, artistic conflicts, and ultimately, a revelation that reaching the top means being true to thine own self … and all that jazz.

Parking
Please allow extra time to find parking — it can be tricky in downtown Wheaton, especially if you’re not joining us for the pre-show dinner.
The Downtown Wheaton Lot #2 is the closest option and, as far as I know, free. The entrance is on the south side of W. Wesley St., between N. Main and N. Hale. A pedestrian walkway leads directly to Hale Street next to the theatre.
Another good choice is the Wheaton Place Garage, about a one-minute walk from the theatre. It’s between N. Hale St. and N. Wheaton Ave., also on the south side of W. Wesley St., and free as well.

How to Find Us
Even if you’re not sitting with the group, please stop by to pick up your nametag — that’s how I keep attendance. I’ll be holding the West Suburban Theatre Meetup sign-in placard, so you can spot us easily.

PRE-PERFORMANCE DISCUSSION / FOOD & DRINKS...
is a separate event entitled “Let's Meet for Dinner before Something's Rotten at Wheaton Drama” at The Burger Social across from the theatre. (Despite name, offers full menu and beverages)

* I had some difficulty with the ticketing software. Though unlikely, if you also have ticketing issues, call (630) 260-1820 and leave a message. Their followup to my issues were quite good.
