I have a passion for cooking and for exploring different cultures. I'd love to share my passion and my cooking with others and hopefully meet some nice people in the process!
The format of the meetings therefore would be a monthly dinner party where we would choose an ethnic theme. I would then come up with a dinner menu, buy the ingredients, host everyone at my home, and cook the meal - with the help of anyone who might want to help out as a sous chef! I would charge a small amount just to cover each person's share of the cost of the groceries.
I’ve had the privilege of traveling to around 35 countries across Asia, Europe, North and South America through my career. I also lived in Asia for about 3 years. I've learned to cook many of my favorite dishes that I've tried in those places, and am always looking to try new ones. I also like to learn the history and cultural significance of the dishes I make.
So my goal is to make these dinner parties experiences where we can all enjoy good food and drink, good company, meet new people, and maybe even learn a few things about other cultures and far-flung locales.
