Itinerary

Meet at the green information board at the car park entrance. We start by briefly walking down Crag Lane through the woods next to the car park. Until we can veer right onto a footpath into the woods. We follow this footpath through the woods to Stair Foot Lane, cross over and continue through the woods until we come out onto the Dales Way Link/Meanwood Valley Trail footpath.

We follow this footpath through fields and passed Headingley Golf Club to King Lane. We briefly walk down this road and cross over to continue following the Dales Way Link through fields to the west side of Eccup Reservoir until we come out onto Eccup Moor Road. We walk down this road over two becks to Village Road. Follow this and then take Blacksmith Road to Eccup Lane/Leeds Country Way (LCW).

We walk down this road for a short while then turn onto Black Hill Lane and walk down here briefly until we can cut into the woods. We then follow the LCW through woods to King Lane, walk along this road until it ends and then cross over Arthington Road into Golden Acre Park. We then walk through the park and will stop for lunch somewhere in here.

We continue out of the park onto the A660. If anyone wishes they can get a bus here back into Leeds. The rest of us will continue over the road and into Breary Marsh Nature Reserve and following the LCW to Paul's Pond. We walk around this fishing pond and follow footpaths through woodland and then through Holt Lane Park and come out on Chestnut Drive. We walk through this housing estate to Holt Lane.

We walk down this road back to the A660, walk up this briefly, cross over and walk through fields to Church Lane. Cross over this road, through more fields until we are back on Stair Foot Lane from earlier. We walk along the road over Adel Beck and then follow a footpath alongside the stream through the woodland. We continue through Adel Woods until we come across the Seven Arches Viaduct.

The walk ends by looping back round through the woods back to the car park.
