Meet at Rochdale train station at 10:15am. We exit Rochdale via Healey Dell Nature Reserve and walk over the viaduct, a Victorian architectural marvel.

Next we visit Watergrove Reservoir. We then head over the moors towards Todmorden before dropping down at Walden. We then walk along the canal to Todmorden.

There is a bail point at Walsden train station.

This hike is public transport friendly. There are trains from Leeds to Rochdale and from Todmorden back to Rochdale or Leeds.

There is a 9:12am train from Leeds to Rochdale. I will get on the train part way through this journey.
