Itinerary

Meet myself one of the volunteers at Appletree garden in Wakefield at 11:15 with an optional short walk led by a walking instructor around 12:00.

There will be a range of activities on offer including transplanting plants, tree planting, weeding , harvesting fresh veg and fruit, Adult colouring and more. You are also welcome to just have a look a round and sit in the garden.

At Appletree we strive to be a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive community garden space. We are situated in Agbrigg, Wakefield. Everyone is welcome. You can spend time outdoors, enjoy fresh community grown food, meet new people, and learn new skills.
No matter what your experiences, strengths, or abilities, we’d love you to be a part of who we are – whether that’s discovering or sharing your knowledge about the joys of sowing, planting, and harvesting; learning new ways to cook; building, mending, recycling and reusing; or simply sharing in conversation and enjoying the garden atmosphere.

Dogs Allowed: yes
Public Transport: Yes, trains from Leeds , 10:49 to Sandal & Agbrigg station arriving Sandal 11:08.
Then a 3 minute walk. Use Google maps.
Appletree community Garden is down a long lane which is signposted at the top of the lane.
If coming by car small carpark. No charge. Quite tricky to find by car, isn't well signposted if not using google maps. Walk down the lane opposite a shop in Red & yellow called Mr Happy
Park in the train station at your own risk of a fine.
