Meet at the car park above. The walk starts by ascending up to Hartsop Dodd - 619m (Wainright #1) for great views behind us down to Ullswater. We continue over the moors steadily ascending up to Stoney Cove Pike where we can enjoy views down to Troutbeck.
We descend a little down to Caudale Moor - 755m (Wainright #2) where we can stop for lunch. Once ready we take a steady descent down to St. Ravens Edge and then a steep descent down to Kirkstone Pass.
We cross over the road and take a steep ascent up to Red Screes - 779m (Wainright #3) and then descend down to Middle Dodd - 654m (Wainright #4). We continue descending with views over Brother's Water and along the valley to Ullswater until we come out onto the Kirkstone Pass road.
We walk down the road briefly and then take footpaths down the valley to Sykeside where we can go into a pub and have a well earned drink. Once ready we continue past Brother's Water and then take a footpath back to the car park.
