Itinerary

Meet outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park visitor centre at the car park. There are public toilets here should you need them. We start by crossing over Hebden Road, heading up into Hardy Meadows housing estate, where there's a alley we can cut through to Scar Street. We take this street up to the top of Grassington.

Its then along a dirt road called High Lane briefly until we can take a footpath up and over through fields to another dirt road called Edge Lane. It is then down this road briefly before cutting over through fields and moorland to the hamlet of Hole Bottom. We cut through the hamlet to follow the dirt road along Hebden Beck through this small valley.

We veer off the dirt road to follow a path along the river to another dirt road. We follow this dirt road through the ruins of a mining complex/settlement, there are towers we can go look at. We then continue along the dirt road across the moors for a few miles, passing through various remnants of mining activity.

We join another dirt road and follow this for a bit until we can take the Lady Anne's Way down through various footpaths as we descend back down to Grassington, enjoying views of Wharfedale as we descend. Once in Grassington we can go for food & drink in the pub, if its not too cold maybe even ice cream!
