Baildon Moor and Shipley Glen – 8 mile walk moderate
Details
The walk will start from Shipley station at 11 which is the time the train gets in from Leeds. We will first walk along the canal and then head down to a nature reserve alongside the river. When we get to the bridge at the end of the nature reserve, we will head up through Tong Park via some woodland and up to the bottom of Baildon Moor. At the top of Baildon Moor we will hopefully have 360 views of the surrounding moorland. Descending Baildon Moor we will reach Shipley Glen, a playground for bouldering and mystical woodland. After enjoying the gem of Shipley Glen, we will head back down via Saltaire, and back along the canal. This walk will be around 8 miles. It is likely to be muddy in some places so please don't wear your finery! Walking boots and waterproofs are recommended.
