Clapham, Austwick and Crummackdale - Loop (11 miles)
Details
Moderate grade walk (due to the length rather than the ascent/descent - 340m is the highest point on the walk and the ascents/descents are gradual).
Parking: You can park at the Yorkshire Dales Car Park (tickets cost £4.50 for the day), or free roadside parking in the village (easiest parking to find is usually along Church Avenue).
We will meet at the Yorkshire Dales Car Park in Clapham, then take the Pennine Bridleway towards Austwick before turning north to Crummack Dale and Moughton Scars. We cross over the top of Moughton Scars, which is a limestone pavement and is part of the Ingleborough National Nature Reserve. You can get a great view of Pen-Y-Ghent from here.
We then head south to the hamlet of Wharfe before descending down to Austwick. From here we then take a path across fields back to the car park at Clapham.
For those who would like to go to a pub afterwards - we can head to The New Inn.
