Itinerary

Meet outside the train station. The walk starts by walking up the main road through Bingley and crossing over the River Aire. We then ascend up through the woodland to the St.Ives estate. We walk around the large pond and then ascend more up through the evergreen forest and then walk around the golf course up here until we come out onto Keighley Road.

We cross over and walk up onto Harden Moor and work our way through its rocky, ex small quarry like landscape to Ryecroft Road, we cross over and head over the moors here, descending down with views across the valley. We come out onto a high-speed road and will walk down it for a short while.

We veer off onto a footpath that will take us through more woodland and then follow a footpath into Cullingworth village. We cut through the village and come out onto the Hewenden Viaduct where can enjoy views down the valley one side and a reservoir the other side. We walk across it and then will stop for lunch with views of the viaduct and the reservoir.

Once ready we continue under the viaduct and follow the river to the main road, we cross over and then walk through woodland until we come out onto an old mill that is now apartments. We walk around the mill and enter Goitstock woodland where there is a waterfall. We ascend up to the top of the woodland and follow a footpath to a road.

We cross the road and continue through the evergreen forest passing some old ruins (no idea what they were for), then descend down, cross over the golf course, over the River Aire and come out into Myrtle Park. We walk through the park back into Bingley where we can go find a pub for drinks.
