Itinerary
Meet opposite the entrance to the park at the bottom of Main Street. The walk starts by walking up Sun Street until we can veer off onto a footpath that will take us up to Dimples Lane. We cross over the road and its then a short ascent to the top of Penistone Hill for views and a trig point.
We walk through the quarry like warren to Moorside Lane, walk up this road briefly and then take a footpath with views over Leeming Reservoir. The footpath then ascends up onto the moorland and then it flattens out. We walk across the moors to the Pennine Way and follow it down to the Walshaw Dean reservoirs. Will stop for lunch here with views of all three.
Once ready we descend down to the reservoirs and follow a dirt road around the middle one, over the dam seperating it with the top reservoir, then walk around the top reservoir until we can take a footpath up onto the moors again and up to another trig point. We then descend down to Withins Top for views down the valley to Haworth and beyond.
We then descend down to Bronte Falls then take a small ascent up a footpath that turns into a dirt road and then its a flat walk all the way back to Haworth where we will come out at the top of picturesque Main Street.
