So are you staying local this busy travel holiday. Here is a nice way to kick off the holiday weekend . Bring your chairs , blankets , sunscreen bug spray and friends /family and picnic at the foot of the beautiful kensico dam. Listening to the entertainment of live bands during day then at dark there will be an awesome fireworks displays. You can either drive or take metro north I strongly suggest the train. Also this event is large capacity crowds so don’t expect to arrive later in day as the Bronx river parkway will be shut down head towards the dam
