Chesapeake Winter Bluegrass Festival in Annapolis, MD

I will be heading up the Bluegrass Kids Academy at the Chesapeake Winter Bluegrass Festival in lovely Annapolis, MD at the end of January. My friend Danny Stewart (from the Navy Band, Country Current) is running the festival. It is a first time festival. It is in a hotel and I am pretty sure will have loads of jamming on the jam floors and hallways etc as well as having a really good line up on the stage. When parents buy a ticket for the festival it is no extra money for their kid(s) to join the Bluegrass Kids Academy. The kids will need to have their own bluegrass instrument (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, bass). I will also be hanging out and jamming with I am not teaching. Also, Ian and I will be running a table for our Music Arts and Culture Tours to Nepal and Bhutan at the Festival. That table will also function as the sign in table for parents or guardians to sign in the Kids for the Bluegrass Kids Academy on Friday. The Kids Academy will be working with the kids on and off (schedules should be online) throughout the weekend with a culmination of our big show on the main stage that Sunday.
I already reserved my room for Friday and Saturday of the festival. It is a good idea to get your tickets and reserve your rooms soon if you might want to go, because it might sell out.
It is sometimes fun to go to a jamming Bluegrass Festival and see hot acts on the stage and jam day and night and still get to stay in a nice comfy bed and take a real shower. All festivals do not have to be outside in the hot sun, or rain, and possibly muddy... ;) hee hee.

There will be Performances, Jamming, Workshops, Clinics, Song-writing rounds, Developing Musical Techniques, and more!
