What we’re about
Do you enjoy singing and acting? Witty dialogue and beautiful music? Be part of an amazing group of talented people who know how to have fun!
The Westchester Gilbert and Sullivan Group meets monthly in Briarcliff, NY. Each month we perform a different Gilbert and Sullivan Opera. There are no auditions and rehearsals—everyone may take a solo role, participate in the chorus, or just come, listen, and enjoy. We perform with minimal costumes and props, and performers sing and act with scripts open. The main idea is to just have fun—to enjoy the music and dialogue and the pleasure of performing. We have an accomplished pianist who provides our musical accompaniment.
The Westchester Gilbert and Sullivan Group has been in continuous existence for over 37 years. Over the course of each year we perform The H.M.S Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, Iolanthe, The Sorcerer, The Yeoman of the Guard, Patience, Ruddigore, Princess Ida, The Gondoliers, and more.
