The target event audience is those interested in the AI and Technology Job Market, Industry Professionals, technology focused executives, competitive software developers, professionals looking for industry opportunities and researchers.

Hosted at the University of Washington Foster School of Business in Seattle, PACCAR 392 (the room number may be updated as the event approaches).

Sean is a University of Washington Alumni PhD Physicist and is an Artificial Intelligence expert. He likes solving the problem of helping people find lucrative jobs and getting more money for their work.

He has a Ph.D. in computational physics from the University of Washington, developing source characterization algorithms for the NASA Gamma Ray Telescope. His sent 12 years in government research working for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in numerical simulation, modeling, Monte-Carlo particle transport, machine learning and anomaly detection, as well as in the direction of international nuclear policy. He has been a project manager and science lead for numerous research efforts and was involved in development of computer vision algorithms, spatial object localization, deep learning for anomaly detection and NLP.

He currently leads a startup company developing algorithms to empower business products and leading ML/AI efforts and teams across a broad spectrum in an R&D environment, applied descriptive and inferential statistics, marketing, and process optimization. He has spent the last 7 years working in the areas of Image Generation Models (e.g. StableDiffusion) and Large Language Models (LLM) (e.g. the GPT series). He is an author of numerous academic papers.

Sean's talk will be about his AI research, work experience in government vs the private sector, and productionizing AI models. He will talk about how at his company Cheeki they are using AI to help people automate the job search and application process.
