Western Mass Argentine Tango Meet-up
Argentine Tango is a social dance of connection, music, and improvisation. Here in Western Mass, we gather weekly to learn, practice, and enjoy this dance together.
Our weekly event is Practica del Valle (Thursdays) in Northampton:
Class (7–8 pm): Foundational themes taught with depth, accessible to all levels.
Practica (8–10 pm): Open space to explore, dance, and ask questions.
No partner or prior experience required. Everyone comes in at their own level, and the culture here is simple: curiosity, kindness, and care for the ronda (the flow of the dance floor).
We also occasionally host visiting maestros, workshops, and special community events.
When: Thursdays
Where: First Churches, 129 Main St, Northampton (Center Street entrance — ring the bell)
Parking: Free after 6 pm in the TD Bank lot across Center St, or use the Gothic St parking garage.
Bring comfortable shoes that can pivot (socks are fine too), an open mind, and your attention to the music.
