May 22-23, Fri-Sat: Rock Gap - Siler Bald section on the AT and back: 7.8 mil 2240/650 ft. One Night. Fairly easy. Great views from Siler Bald.
An easier option: join us at the Winding Stair Gap intersection. It’s 4.6 miles and 1600 ft elevation gain from there to Silers Gap.
We will be under the protection of Sherry the Bear — an adorable but occasionally loud 14-month-old female standard poodle.
