What we’re about
A group for kayaking the lakes, rivers, and streams, of Western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
Event hosts are not trained guides. We all have different levels of experience. We just like to paddle with other kayak enthusiasts.
Everyone is expected to look out for each other, but we're all responsible for our own personal safety.
By signing up for and attending events in this group, you are acknowledging the inherent dangers of being on the water, and are doing so at your own risk.
Now let's be safe, and have fun.

Buffalo National River – Paddling & Camping (Placeholder)
Location not specified yetThis is a placeholder event for those who may want to plan ahead and save vacation days.
We are considering an early May 2026 trip (timed to beat the crowds) to paddle and camp along 101 miles of the Buffalo National River.
We will keep the group small and only include people whose paddling and camping skills I am familiar with.
More details will be shared as plans develop. In the meantime, please feel free to share your thoughts, suggestions, or interest in joining.

Important Notes
- This is a peer trip, not a guided service. By joining, you take full responsibility for your own safety.
- Paddlers should be comfortable with river currents, navigation, and self-rescue.
- Shuttle coordination may be required—please be ready to help with vehicles.
- Weather-dependent—trip may be postponed if river levels are too high or conditions unsafe.
