Pymatuning Solar Eclipse Camp & Kayak

Details

EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RESERVING THEIR OWN CAMPSITE. THERE IS A TWO TENT LIMIT PER SITE.

Pymatuning Lake will be right in the center of the solar eclipse totality zone. Getting into the zone the day of the eclipse has potential to be chaotic, so why not get there the day before.

The Jamestown Campground announced it is opening early this Spring to accommodate this event.

I recommend everyone book a site ASAP. They will probably fill up soon.

We will launch our kayaks around the time the eclipse partially begins on Monday around 2pm. It will be a total eclipse around 3:15.

The water will be cold this time of year. Wetsuits and PFD's will be needed to be worn. Watching from the campsite will also be an option.

It may be cold in early April, especially at night. Be prepared with camping gear that will keep you warm.

Everyone is responsible for their own food and beverages while camping. If anyone wants to share a dish for any meals, that can be discussed in the comments. I'll have a griddle that anyone can use to cook on.
