Let’s dine at GREEK TOWN GRILL

Hello everyone

Lets dine at the recently opened GREEK TOWN GRILL located at 4071 St. Jean Blvd. in Dollard des Ormeaux.
My friend suggested this restaurant & suggested the calamari and warm pita triangles which came with 3 dipping sauces, namely tzatziki, kopanisti and taramos and the dipping sauces were excellent. The calamari had to be one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. The breading was very light and not greasy at all. It was served with a large wedge of fresh lemon and a zesty cocktail sauce.
For my meal tonight I chose the loose pork gyro plate which came with a choice of salad or soup plus 2 side dishes. I went with the horiatiki salad which consisted of tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion slices, kalamata olives and chunks of excellent feta cheese.
The sliced pork gyro meat was nothing short of sublime. The meat was so moist and flavorful and some pieces had these nice crispy edges to them. They were also sliced the perfect thickness. One of the diners commented that it almost looked like sliced brisket.
The meat was accompanied by excellent, and I mean excellent, roasted lemon potatoes otherwise known as yia-yia’s roast potatoes. They are a must! There was also some excellent rice on the plate which I barely touched as I was so full. That all came with a side of tzatziki sauce.
If you foodies are looking for a great Greek cuisine experience this is the place to go,
The dinner and the owners and staff of the Greek Town Grill are all amazing.
