Charmouth fossil hunting day out

Join us for a day out fossil hunting at Charmouth beach on the Jurassic coast followed by a visit to the local heritage museum and lunch out.

The address given will take you to a beach front car park with easy access to the beach as well as cafes nearby.

Please remember to wear suitable clothing for potentially warmer weather and sturdy walking footwear. Extra equipment such as hammers, picks and chisels are optional but recommended if you can bring your own as there will be stones to break open as well as the chance to find fossils around anyway.

Please meet us at the beach front car park (DT6 6LR) by 10:00 so that we can have as much time out as possible and to stay ahead of the tides 😁

Any fossils you find, you can keep within reason, i.e. no taking mountains or rocks that would crush your car! Please keep health and safety in mind for the entire trip.
