What weāre about
Welcome to the Westside Vibrant Women's Community!ššŗš
We are a group of women connecting, creating friendships, navigating life after 50, and enjoying life together. Most of our events are focused on the Westside, with gatherings in Tigard, Tualatin, Sherwood, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Aloha, and beyond.
Why Vibrant?

1. Full of energy and enthusiasm ā lively, spirited, dynamic.
š āA vibrant group of women who bring joy and connection wherever they go.ā
2. Bright and striking ā vivid, glowing, warm.
šŗ āA vibrant community filled with color and warmth.ā
3. Pulsing with life ā resonant, thriving, animated.
š āA vibrant culture that continues to grow and evolve.ā
The Vibrant Women's Community Model:
š Energy
š¼ Warmth and joy
š Thriving community
⨠A sense of movement and life
Our name highlights exactly what weāre building: a welcoming, connected, and thriving community of women here on the Westside and beyond ā with the potential for us to create a model that other cities and communities can follow in our footsteps. Our goal is to build a vibrant community that begins in the suburbs of Portland and invites women everywhere to imagine the possibilities that the Meetup platform can offer.
What We Do
We gather for:
šLunches ā āVibrant Women Who Lunch Togetherā at local restaurants
āļøCoffee chats in neighborhood cafĆ©s
š¶āāļøWalks in local parks and trails
š§¶šØCreative workshops and crafting sessions
š“š„§Potlucks andšššš holiday celebrations
Field trips to local flower farms in spring, vineyards in summer, and cultural events year-round
MAX ride adventures into Portland to explore museums, theater, and more
This is a place to meet new friends, laugh often, and celebrate the good things in life.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple but powerful: to create friendships, celebrate life, and build meaningful connections through a wide variety of social and community experiences.
We have a foundational commitment to our events as a āPolitical Discussion Free Zoneā (PDFZ). We come together to celebrate our commonalities and learn from our differences, creating a safe space for growth, warmth, and inclusion ā with minimal drama.
We strive to be welcoming to all women over 50 in the Portland metro area ā Westside, Eastside, and beyond. Members may be retired, still working, long-time locals, or new arrivals to PDX. What unites us is our shared desire to connect, contribute, and have fun together.
Looking Ahead
Weāre also experimenting with all the possibilities for community-building on the Meetup platform. A broader goal is to establish a recognizable model for āVibrant Womenās Communitiesā ā ones that can grow in other cities and among other age groups of women who share the same desire and commitment to meaningful connection.
Above all, weāre here to enjoy life together, right where we are. ššŗš
