Test automation at Westwing

In this session, for the first time, we will show you test automation processes which are used at Westwing. The presentation will be focused on Victor - a test automation framework written by Westwing QA engineers. You will learn about such technologies as Behat, Selenium, Gherkin and other useful tools. We will start with PHP code (classes, methods etc.), and go through configuration files, selectors and acceptance test scenarios, ending with a live preview of a test execution.

Westwing and the cloud - best friends forever

Here at Westwing, we’ve been using AWS cloud services for a couple of years already. Currently, each tech team in the company can set up their own instances in the cloud when needed, either as a part of an existing project or when spinning up a new application. During our daily work, we give ourselves a chance to play with different AWS services and check if they fit our use cases. In the talk, we will present how exactly do we use Amazon cloud services at Westwing and how our company’s culture support it. We will show you the ways in which we benefit from using AWS not only on the organizational level but also on the team level and on the personal level.

The meetup will take place in Westwing’s office in the center of Warsaw near the Rondo ONZ metro station. Due to the size of our conference room, we ask you to sign up if you want to join us. And to do it fast as the number of places is limited :)

No AWS / test automation knowledge required to join! You will learn everything during the sessions :) Note that all talks will be presented in Polish.
